About me
I began my 3 year training in counselling and in shiatsu in 1997. This transformed my life and started me on the path of continual learning. As well as the formal trainings listed below, I have attended numerous short courses and workshops during the past 15 years.
I am a graduate member of the Shiatsu Society (UK) and am registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I am registered with the Cranio Sacral Therapy Association for craniosacral therapy. I am also a BACP Accredited counsellor, but I keep my counselling work separate from bodywork.
It is always a privilege to tune into someone’s body with my hands and become aware of their amazing capacity for healing. I find the mind-body connection fascinating, and often people who come for bodywork find emotional calm as well the easing of physical symptoms.
It can be a really joyful feeling when someone experiences relief from physical pain. Sometimes this happens gradually over a series of sessions, especially if it is a long standing problem, but occasionally one session is all it takes.
If I sound the like the sort of therapist you are looking for, I look forward to working with you! You are welcome to contact me by phone or email.
